Welcome Philip O’Connor!
SPARK Product Development is proud to announce our newest hire, Philip O’Connor. Philip joins us as our Business Relationship Manager. We first met Philip back in 2013 when he joined Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) College of Engineering as Corporate Relations Officer and he’s helped us build our relationship with the university during his tenure—we even hired several interns and alumni!
At VCU, Philip worked with faculty, staff and students to develop new programs for industry to engage on campus. From finding meaningful Capstone Senior Design projects for students to developing a continuing education course focused on Industrial Automation, he brought industry and academia together for mutually beneficial engagements.
Philip and his wife, Sara, live with their dog, Mr. Black, in their old row home in the Church Hill neighborhood of Richmond.

Philip will become essential to our engagements moving forward and will be hyper-focused on the client experience in working with the SPARK team. As we consider what SPARK looks like for the next 20 years, we anticipate Philip being an integral part of our continued success and long-term legacy.
